Meet Kyla, who leads Talent Acquisition in Platinum’s Dorset Chefs division.
With hospitality experience since she was 18 and a career that progressed to Deputy General Manager, Kyla brings real industry knowledge to Platinum. She genuinely understands the people she now helps support.
Kyla was born in Africa and raised on a tobacco farm. At three years old, a group of turkeys chased her, and instead of running away, she turned around and took them on. Thankfully, her dad stepped in, and she is still here to tell the tale.
Kyla started working in hospitality at 18 and worked her way up through the industry to become Deputy General Manager.
Along the way, she took on plenty of responsibility, including running the pub herself on occasion, and those years helped shape her love for hospitality.
That passion is still very much there. Even now, Kyla enjoys picking up the occasional shift, staying connected to the industry and reminding herself why she fell in love with it in the first place.
Today, she brings that first-hand experience into her Talent Acquisition role within Platinum Recruitment’s Dorset Chefs division.
Outside work, Kyla is usually happiest catching up with friends at the pub, seeing some of her old regulars or spending time with pretty much anyone who happens to have a dog nearby.
She also enjoys running, using it to clear her head and reset after a busy day.
