Introducing: Hollie Harket-Burgess

Meet Hollie, part of the Platinum team specialising in chef recruitment across Hampshire and Sussex.

With a career spanning hospitality, aviation, corporate reception and recruitment, Hollie brings a brilliantly varied background and plenty of first-hand industry experience to the role.

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT HOLLIE

Hollie once climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity, raising more than £7,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

A GLIMPSE INTO HOLLIE’S CAREER

Hollie’s career began at 18, working at Jumpin Jaks in Southampton before heading to Bournemouth Uni to study Tourism Management.

After graduating, she moved to London and joined British Airways as cabin crew. Next stop? A move to Sydney, where she worked in corporate hospitality for KPMG Australia.

Back in the UK, Hollie moved into recruitment, starting on a Chef desk before briefly moving into another sector. It didn’t take long for her to realise that hospitality was where she felt most at home.

That led her to Platinum, where she now looks after the Hampshire and Sussex Chef desk. Her combined recruitment experience and love of the hospitality industry make her a great addition to Platinum.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE…

Outside work, Hollie loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, usually making the most of days out together.

She has also recently discovered paddleboarding and bought her own board, with her daughters already getting involved too.

With her 40th birthday approaching, Hollie has set herself another challenge: completing her fourth marathon (her first since having her girls) before the big day.

WHAT PLATINUM MEANS TO HOLLIE

“I love working for Platinum. It’s rare to find a company where you feel so valued, and when I returned earlier this year, it sounds cheesy, but I genuinely felt like I had come home.”
