A Glimpse into George’s Career
George began his career as a still room assistant at The Chewton Glen. He progressed to Supervisor at James Martin’s restaurant before relocating to Somerset. There, he became Maitre D of The Botanical Rooms at The Newt. During this time, George entered the Young Chef Young Waiter competition, placing 3rd in the UK. Through this competition, he met Adam Handling, who hired him to work in his Michelin-starred restaurant in London. George later became Restaurant and Bar Manager at The Grove of Narberth in Wales. While there, he was accepted onto the prestigious Master Innholders Inspiring Leadership Diploma. Today, George works in the Elite Chef division at Platinum.
