We’re looking for skilled Chefs in Chester, to work alongside a military kitchen, offering £16.00 per hour plus holiday pay (£17.93 per hour inclusive) and flexible shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef de Partie who thrives in a structured, professional environment and enjoys delivering quality food at scale.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality food service by:

• Managing and running your designated kitchen section
• Preparing and presenting dishes to the required quality standards
• Organising mise en place to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Supervising and supporting junior kitchen staff
• Maintaining high food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
• Monitoring stock levels, controlling portions, and minimising waste
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team to maintain consistency and efficiency

What we’re looking for

To succeed as a Chef de Partie, you’ll need:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role
• Strong cooking skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Leadership skills to guide and support junior team members
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Excellent organisation and disciplined mise en place
• Reliability, professionalism, and accountability
• Good cost awareness, including portion control and waste reduction
