What you’ll be doing:
As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in leading a talented kitchen team to maintain the hotel’s exceptional Rosette-standard dining experience. Your creativity and leadership will help drive the menu forward and inspire those around you.
Oversee daily kitchen operations and service
Lead, train, and mentor junior chefs
Develop seasonal menus using locally sourced and foraged ingredients
Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with health & safety standards
Collaborate with the wider team to uphold the hotel’s sustainable ethos
What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking a passionate Chef local to the Honiton area – or looking to be a Live-in Chef who thrives in a creative, fast-paced kitchen and is inspired by working with local produce.
Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in Rosette or fine dining
Leadership skills with a calm, encouraging approach
Commitment to quality, sustainability, and craft cookery
A genuine love for local and home-grown ingredients
