Role: Sous Chef
Location: Cotswolds
Salary: £38,000-£42,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Relocation: Relocation package of up to £2,000 available
We’re working with an exceptional luxury country estate in the Cotswolds, home to a collection of beautiful accommodation, restaurants, a cookery school, spa, working farm and extensive kitchen gardens.
At the heart of the estate is a genuine passion for seasonal, sustainable and beautifully executed British food. The kitchens work closely with the estate’s gardens and farm, with chefs having access to an incredible range of home-grown fruit, vegetables and herbs, alongside produce from the estate’s own animals and livestock.
This is an opportunity to join a business where provenance really matters. Menus evolve with the seasons and the produce available, creating food that is rustic, comforting and familiar while remaining refined and confidently executed.
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Chef Director and wider kitchen team, helping to lead the kitchen operation and maintain consistently high standards across the estate.
You will take responsibility for the kitchen during shifts when the Chef Director is not present, ensuring the team is organised, motivated and producing food to the required standard.
There will also be genuine opportunities to contribute to menu development and work directly with the estate’s gardeners and farm team, making the most of the exceptional produce available.
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef who genuinely loves food and takes pride in working with excellent seasonal produce.
You should have:
Most importantly, you’ll need to share the estate’s passion for good, honest food, sustainability and cooking without pretension.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to join a genuinely unique food-led estate where you’ll have access to exceptional produce, excellent facilities and a team that places quality at the centre of everything they do.
With a working kitchen garden, farm, orchards and livestock all contributing to the menus, this is a role where you can truly connect with the produce you’re cooking and develop your skills within an inspiring environment.
Due to the rural location, your own transport is essential. Accommodation or relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
If you’re an ambitious Sous Chef looking for a role where seasonality, provenance and quality genuinely matter, we’d love to hear from you.
