Salary / Rate of pay: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Our client is a well-established, modern British restaurant in the heart of Dartmouth, Devon and they are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role with live-in accommodation available if required.

What’s involved?

• Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in managing a busy kitchen, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Plan and organise kitchen tasks alongside the Head Chef
• Supervise and coordinate a kitchen team of 6
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation, maintaining quality standards, catering for an average of 100-120 covers
• Manage stock levels, assist with orders, and control waste and food costs
• Enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Contribute ideas for menu development and suggest new techniques
