Key Responsibilities

As Senior Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in running the kitchen, maintaining exceptional food standards and ensuring a smooth and efficient service.

• Support the Head Chef in delivering consistent, high-quality food

• Plan and coordinate kitchen operations alongside senior management

• Coach and develop the team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture

• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen regulations

• Support recruitment, training and the ongoing development of team members

• Control costs and drive profitability through effective stock and menu management

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, front of house and guests

• Maintain high standards of food quality and service during busy periods

• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistently excellent results

• Support junior team members during preparation and service

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a passionate Chef with strong leadership skills, excellent organisation and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding food.

• Experience working in an AA Rosette-awarded establishment

• Confidence working across all kitchen sections, including food preparation

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• A commitment to the highest standards of food quality, preparation and presentation

• Understanding of food costs, kitchen operations and guest satisfaction

• The ability to support, coach and develop junior chefs

• A positive, professional approach with excellent attention to detail

• The ability to build strong working relationships across the hotel
