What you’ll be doing:
As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in delivering a hyper-seasonal, ingredient-led menu. You’ll take creative ownership in the kitchen while fostering a positive, collaborative culture across a small but highly committed team. Key responsibilities include:
Leading the team through service with consistency and calm
Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations, ordering and planning
Taking charge of menu items and specials using local, foraged and homegrown ingredients
Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
Helping nurture a team culture rooted in respect, learning, and pride
Being part of a retreat-wide ethos focused on sustainability, quality and guest experience

We’re searching for a talented individual who wants to grow with the role and contribute meaningfully to a purpose-driven kitchen. You’ll bring:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in quality kitchens
A deep interest in sustainability, locality, and seasonality
Creativity and passion for crafting thoughtful, honest dishes
A supportive leadership style with strong communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota
