Key Responsibilities

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to help lead the kitchen and deliver consistently high standards.

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen

• Leading the kitchen team during service when required

• Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal dishes to a high standard

• Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards

• Supporting ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation

• Contributing ideas to menus and food development

• Supporting weddings, events and busy service periods

• Training and supporting junior members of the kitchen team

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef who is confident working in a busy kitchen and enjoys leading a team.

• Previous experience at Sous Chef level or as an experienced Chef de Partie ready for the next step

• A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food

• Strong organisation and communication skills

• Someone who is hands-on, reliable and leads by example

• Confidence supporting and leading a kitchen team

• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

• Your own transport is essential, as the venue is in a rural location and reliable travel to the site is required
