Catering Assistant – £25,396.80 – Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm
We’re currently seeking a Catering Assistant to join a vibrant and energetic team in the Basildon area. If you’re a hardworking individual with a passion for great food and excellent customer service, this could be the perfect role for you. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start available.

As a Catering Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of the team, splitting your time between the kitchen and front-of-house duties. This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front-of-House: You’ll be the face of the business, warmly greeting customers, taking food and drink orders, and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages.
- Kitchen Support: Your duties will include assisting the chef with basic food preparation, ensuring the kitchen and service areas are kept clean and tidy, and washing dishes.
- Customer Service: Providing a friendly and efficient service is key. You’ll ensure every customer has a positive experience.
- General Duties: You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, restocking supplies, and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment is highly desirable.
- Attitude: A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility: The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Passion: A genuine interest in food and a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate – Platinum Employment can support you with this.
- Due to the clients location, you must drive and have access to a car
