What’s involved?
If you’re a wizard with a knife and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, this is your chance to shine! This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to grow and thrive.
As a Chef de Partie, you’ll be a vital ingredient in an energetic team of 7 chefs. You’ll play a key role in the success of the hotel’s diverse culinary operations, from the main restaurant to various outlets and bustling conference and banqueting events; following company standards.
You will work to recipes, being responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes whilst ensuring consistency in the section you’re working on. You will be a team player, assisting in other sections when required and will help in the training of junior chefs you work with.
On average, you can expect to cater for 25-30 covers per night during the week in the main restaurant, with numbers rising at weekends. Conferences, events, and weddings can be catered for up to 500 covers in their dedicated, modern events venue. With this in mind, the successful Chef de Partie should have previous C&B experience.
As an experienced chef, you will demonstrate excellent knife skills and proper food handling procedures at all times, properly wrapping, labelling, dating, and storing all food items in their correct areas. You will ensure your workstation is kept clean at all times during service, and be an organised individual, able to multi-task and work under pressure, as well as working to deadlines and targets set.
