Looking for a well-paid temporary booking where you can run your own kitchen? This Relief Head Chef assignment in Sevenoaks offers two months of guaranteed work, complete control of the menu and the opportunity to cook fresh food within a high-quality residential setting.

• Regular hours of 12pm-8pm, Wednesday to Saturday
• Every other Sunday

Your new role

As Relief Head Chef, you’ll take sole responsibility for the kitchen operation based in Sevenoaks. You’ll plan menus, prepare fresh food and manage each service independently while maintaining excellent standards.

You will:

• Create seasonal menus and daily dishes
• Prepare, cook and present meals to a high standard
• Manage ordering, stock rotation and waste
• Cater confidently for dietary and allergen requirements
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen records
• Organise your workload and manage service independently
• Build positive relationships with residents and the wider team

What we’re looking for

The successful Relief Head Chef will have experience running a kitchen independently and a strong background preparing fresh food.

You’ll also need:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef
• Confidence working as a solo chef
• Strong menu-planning and organisational skills
• Excellent food-safety and allergen knowledge
• A calm, reliable and professional approach
• The ability to commit to the full two-month assignment
• Your own reliable transport or the ability to commute
