Key Responsibilities:

You’ll play an important role in ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard by:

• Carrying out general repairs including furniture, painting, decorating, basic carpentry, plumbing, and replacing lightbulbs
• Completing routine inspections across guest rooms and public areas to identify preventative Maintenance requirements
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests while minimising disruption to guests and colleagues
• Following health and safety procedures, maintaining tidy work areas, and accurately recording completed repairs

What we’re looking for:

To be successful as a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll have:

• Previous experience within Hotel maintenance or a similar hospitality environment
• Good practical knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, painting, and general DIY
• A positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• The ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and escalate larger maintenance issues when required
• Previous hands-on experience in building maintenance or hospitality
• Immediate availability with no prior commitments during the placement
