Key Responsibilities

As a Shift Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the property operating to the highest standards by:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
• Operating, maintaining and repairing a variety of hotel equipment
• Monitoring and maintaining stock levels for engineering supplies
• Delivering high standards of workmanship across all tasks
• Liaising daily with the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer
• Responding promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
• Assisting external contractors during maintenance and construction works

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Shift Engineer within a hotel environment
• Strong fault-finding and general engineering skills
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Pool plant operations experience (desirable)
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a maintenance-related qualification (preferred)
