We’re recruiting a Chef in Windsor to join a well-established MOD kitchen offering a fantastic work-life balance and consistent hours. This is a great opportunity for a Chef looking for stability, no late nights, and the chance to move into a permanent role after 12 weeks.

Based in Windsor, the role offers 37.5 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, with shift patterns of 06:00-14:00 or 11:00-19:00. It’s ideal if you’re commuting from Maidenhead or the surrounding area and want a structured rota within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the kitchen:

• Manage and run your designated kitchen section
• Prepare and present dishes to consistent quality standards
• Organise mise en place to ensure smooth service
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Monitor stock levels, reduce waste and control portions

What we’re looking for:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Consistency and attention to detail in presentation and quality
• Good time management and the ability to perform under pressure
• Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• A team-focused attitude and clear communication
• Excellent organisation and mise en place discipline
• Good cost awareness, including portion control and minimal waste
