Senior Chef de Partie – Oxford | £35-40K + Excellent Work-Life Balance at a Prestigious College

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at a prestigious Oxford college. This is a unique opportunity to work in an iconic setting, delivering high-quality food across daily lunches, formal dinners, graduation ceremonies, and VIP events-all while enjoying a supportive team and excellent work-life balance.

You’ll enjoy:

• Salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per year, with enhanced overtime rates for extra hours.
• Permanent, full-time role, mostly Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays and no more than four split shifts per month.
• 38 days’ holiday including Bank Holidays, plus additional long-service days.

As Senior Chef de Partie, you will:

• Prepare, cook, and present food to the college’s high standards.
• Lead a designated section of the kitchen independently during service.
• Assist with menu planning for daily meals, formal halls, and special college events.
• Maintain strict food hygiene, allergen management, and health & safety standards.
• Supervise, train, and develop junior kitchen team members.
• Support procurement, stock control, and supplier liaison.
• Contribute to cost control, portion management, and waste reduction.
• Work flexibly across all kitchen sections as required.

We’re seeking a Chef with:

• Proven fine dining experience.
• Strong leadership skills and the confidence to run a kitchen section independently.
• Flexibility to work across different areas of the kitchen.
