Kitchen Assistant – £14+ per hour with accommodation available

Full-time role supporting an educational residential centre in Perth

We’re recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join a well-established residential education centre in Perth, supporting young people during their stay. This is a full-time, temporary ongoing opportunity, offering structured hours, accommodation if required, and the chance to work in a positive, purpose-led environment.

Key responsibilities:

• You’ll support the day-to-day running of the kitchen that serves children and staff, including:
• Maintaining high standards of cleaning and hygiene throughout the kitchen
• Washing up, mopping floors, and keeping work areas safe and organised
• Occasionally supporting the chef and assisting with food service
• Working split day shifts (7.5 hours per day with a 1-hour unpaid break), 5 days out of 7

What we’re looking for:

This role would suit a reliable catering assistant with experience working around food service:

• A valid Disclosure Scotland PVG check
• Food Hygiene Certificate and Food Allergen training
• Previous catering experience, ideally in a structured or residential environment
• A responsible, team-focused approach and a positive attitude
