We are exclusively partnering with an established and growing premium coffee brand to recruit an ambitious and highly skilled Head Baker for the launch of their brand-new, fully equipped bakery in Buxton.

This is an incredible, hands-on opportunity to spearhead a new venture, designing and delivering a world-class offering of viennoiserie, cakes, and artisan bread to complement an already successful business.

The Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the owner, you will be responsible for leading the entire bakery operation from the ground up. This role requires a Head Baker who is passionate, creative, and determined to maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing a small team of bakers, focusing on their development and training.
• Hands-on preparation and baking across all product lines, with a strong emphasis on pastry lamination and artisan bread.
• Collaborating on recipe development and ensuring accurate menu costing.
• Managing all stock control, ordering, and inventory counts.
• Upholding impeccable standards of cleanliness and food safety regulations.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be quality-driven with meticulous attention to detail. Essential requirements include:

• Proven, hands-on experience in lamination (viennoiserie) and artisan bread.
• A strong knowledge of food safety practices.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistent quality.
• Experience with costing recipes and meeting GP targets is desirable.
