Based in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, this is an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to take the day-to-day lead at a unique and highly regarded venues. You’ll connect people, operations, commercial performance and the overall vision, helping to maintain the venue’s reputation for outstanding service.

Working as General Manager in Winchester, you’ll be hands-on, visible and central to the continued development of the venue, leading a passionate team and driving high standards across every area of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As General Manager, you will provide strong leadership across the venue, ensuring the team, operations and commercial performance work together effectively.

• Lead, motivate and develop the venue team, creating a positive and high-performing culture
• Work alongside Sales and Marketing to maximise bookings and identify new business opportunities
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure consistently high customer service standards
• Work closely with accommodation, maintenance, catering and Events teams to deliver a seamless client journey
• Maintain high standards across the venue, coordinating maintenance and future improvement works
• Ensure Health & Safety documentation, venue contracts and licences remain compliant and up to date
• Prepare and manage budgets, profit and loss, and business reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, revenue and the overall customer experience

The successful candidate will have strong leadership experience within a busy hospitality or events environment, with a genuine passion for weddings and exceptional guest experiences.

• Proven experience managing and developing teams
• A driver due to location of the site
• Experience leading a busy venue with a strong focus on service and standards
• A track record of delivering high-quality customer experiences
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence managing client queries, challenges and escalations
• Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and performance
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to bring people together
