Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly regarded independent countryside restaurant and events business in Hertfordshire to recruit an experienced General Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a food-led hospitality business with multiple revenue streams with the AA Rosette Restaurant at the heart of the operation.

About the Business

This is a restaurant with rooms rather than a traditional hotel, with food and hospitality at the heart of the operation.

The operation spans multiple revenue streams, including a quality restaurant, private and outdoor dining, a busy events business and boutique accommodation.

With a turnover of £4.5m, this is a sizeable and commercially successful operation requiring a confident and experienced General Manager.

What’s involved?

As General Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the business.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and developing a large hospitality team.
• Overseeing restaurant, events, weddings and accommodation.
• Driving sales, profitability and commercial performance.
• Maintaining exceptional food, service and guest standards.
• Working closely with the culinary team to maintain the food-led identity.
• Managing budgets, costs and operational performance.
• Ensuring the successful delivery of weddings and events.
• Developing the team and supporting the continued growth of the business.

We’re looking for an experienced General Manager with a strong background in quality fresh food and experience managing multiple revenue streams. You’ll need to be a confident, commercially astute and hands-on leader.
