Financial Controller – Blackburn – Accommodation Available | Potential hybrid working

As the Financial Controller at this prestigious property, you’ll be a key member of the senior management team, overseeing all aspects of finance and supporting the General Manager in driving business performance. This is an ideal role for a commercially minded professional looking for flexibility and the chance to make a real impact in a respected hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s annual budget process alongside the General Manager
  * Monitor and control costs, auditing financial procedures and training management teams
  * Produce monthly capex and period-end reports
  * Manage payroll, accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and ledger control
  * Oversee the purchase ledger and ensure timely supplier payments
  * Forecast business performance accurately and consistently
  * Line manage and develop the finance team
  * Provide coaching and mentorship across the management structure

What we’re looking for

• A strong background in hotel or hospitality finance
  * Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  * Excellent leadership and communication skills
  * A hands-on approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  * The ability to build trust and drive engagement across departments
  * To be considered for this role, you must be available immediately for full time hours
