Chef Manager – Term-Time Only (SEND School)
Location: Chertsey
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 2:30pm (35 hours per week)
Working Pattern: 42 weeks per year (term-time, inset days & 3 additional weeks)

What you’ll be doing:
* Leading the school’s catering operation with support from one Catering Assistant
* Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for around 120 students each day
* Managing stock, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen budgets
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
* Working with school staff to accommodate dietary needs and preferences
* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar role, ideally in schools or care settings
* Compassionate and reliable, with a genuine interest in supporting young people with SEND
* Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and health & safety
* Able to manage a small team and maintain kitchen standards independently
* Organised, confident, and comfortable communicating with staff and students
