We’re looking for a Catering Manager to join a lively venue in Christchurch, where food and hospitality play an important part in the overall guest experience. This is a hands-on role primarily based in the kitchen, preparing quality grab-and-go items, light meals and hot food while supporting the wider team to ensure smooth service throughout the venue. Key Responsibilities:

As Catering Manager, you’ll oversee the kitchen operation while working closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience.

• Manage the day-to-day running of a small kitchen operation

• Prepare, cook and present consistent food quality and presentation standards

• Monitor stock levels and ensure efficient ordering and storage

• Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergen and HACCP regulations

• Work closely with the front of house team to support busy service periods

• Lead, train and motivate the kitchen team, acting as a positive role model

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a confident and enthusiastic kitchen professional who enjoys leading a team

• Previous experience as a kitchen or Catering Manager

• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards

• Experience as a Cook Supervisor or similar senior kitchen role would be beneficial

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and early mornings when events require
