Catering Assistant – £15.07 per hour | Immediate Start | 2-Week Placement

Looking for immediate work over the next two weeks? We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to join a busy café within a popular retail setting in Newport. This is a great opportunity for someone with hospitality or customer service experience looking for short-term work.

You’ll join a friendly catering team, supporting the day-to-day running of the café and helping to provide a welcoming and efficient service to customers. The role includes a mixture of front of house and kitchen duties, from serving customers and preparing food through to cleaning and washing up.

Key Responsibilities

As a Catering Assistant, you will:

• Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Help prepare and set up food and refreshments
• Support with counter and front of house service
• Assist with general kitchen duties and washing up
• Keep customer and kitchen areas clean and well organised
• Restock food, drinks and other supplies as required
• Work as part of an established catering team
• Work 5 days per week, including weekends when required

• Has previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail or a customer-facing environment
• Is confident serving customers in a busy environment
• Is comfortable carrying out both front of house and kitchen duties
• Is reliable, friendly and hardworking
• Is flexible and happy to work weekends when required
• Can commit to the full 2-week placement
• Is available to start immediately
