Senior Sous Chef – earn up to £53,000 OTE with straight shifts and minimal evening work in Ascot, Berkshire.

Your new role
As Senior Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen, develop the brigade and maintain excellent standards. Based in Ascot, Berkshire, you’ll help create a positive kitchen culture and deliver consistently high-quality food across everyday dining and events at the golf club.
You will:
- Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade
- Oversee preparation, service and presentation
- Help develop menus using fresh, quality ingredients
- Manage stock, ordering, food costs and waste
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
- Step up and lead the kitchen when required
What we’re looking for
The successful Senior Sous Chef will have at least two years’ experience in a sous-level or comparable leadership position. Experience within a golf club, hotel, quality restaurant or event-led venue would be particularly relevant.
You’ll also need:
- Strong fresh-food preparation and cooking knowledge
- Proven experience supervising and developing a team
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- A calm and dependable approach under pressure
- Good knowledge of food safety and allergens
- The right to work in the UK and the ability to commute or relocate
