We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Kitchen Porter in Farnborough, working within a prestigious hospitality environment. This temporary contract runs from 23rd June through to mid-August, offering up to five days per week, daytime hours, weekly pay, and the potential for live-in accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head Kitchen Porter, you will oversee the smooth operation of all stewarding and kitchen support functions, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout.

• Supervise pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen teams
• Coordinate dishwashing, silver cleaning, storage, and distribution of supplies
• Monitor cleanliness and organisation of kitchens, workrooms, storerooms, and equipment
• Manage kitchen supplies, equipment, and stock control
• Assist with banquet and event preparations, including staffing requirements
• Maintain inventory records for china, glassware, silverware, and equipment
• Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Help minimise wastage and maintain security of stock and equipment

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced Head Kitchen Porter who can confidently lead a stewarding team in a busy hospitality environment.

• Previous experience as a Head Kitchen Porter, Head Steward, or Chief Steward
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Experience managing kitchen support operations and stock control
• Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment
• Available to work the full temporary contract from June through to August
• A positive and proactive approach to teamwork
