Key Responsibilities:
In this Reservations Manager position, you’ll take ownership of the reservations function and lead from the front:
- Oversee the full reservations process, from enquiry handling to confirmation and issue resolution
- Manage all bookings across direct and third-party channels, ensuring accurate availability and preventing overbookings
- Efficiently manage OTAs to drive occupancy and performance within Glasgow
- Implement pricing and selling strategies across all market segments, working closely with Commercial and Sales teams
- Lead, recruit and train the reservations team, including rota planning and shift management
- Conduct appointments and show-rounds for prospective clients, supporting revenue opportunities
- Apply commercial judgement, considering total revenue, lifetime value and displacement when assessing enquiries
- Ensure full compliance with hotel policies and procedures
What we’re looking for:
To succeed as a Reservations Manager, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a busy hotel Reservations environment
- Background within a branded hotel group would be advantageous
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence analysing market data and competitor performance
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Strong PMS knowledge and a solid understanding of revenue management
- Experience working closely with sales functions, including Group Sales
