Front-of-house Receptionist role in a quality Hotel in Carlisle

We’re recruiting a Receptionist for a welcoming Hotel in Carlisle, offering a varied front-of-house role in a professional hospitality environment. This Receptionist position is ideal for someone who enjoys guest interaction, takes pride in delivering great service, and wants to be part of a close-knit team. This is a full-time position, however, there are part-time opportunities available as well.

Key responsibilities:

As a Receptionist, you’ll support the smooth running of the front desk by:

• Opening and closing daily shifts
• Checking guests in and out efficiently
• Ensuring all billing is accurate and up to date
• Dealing with guest requests in a professional manner
• Allocating rooms and managing availability
• Handling incoming phone calls
• Completing thorough handovers to the next shift
• Supporting with any other reasonable requests from your Line Manager

What we’re looking for:

To be successful as a Receptionist, you’ll ideally have:

• Previous front desk or customer-facing experience
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A calm, professional approach when dealing with guests
• Confidence using booking or billing systems
• Your own transport to be able to travel to the location
