As a Duty Manager, you’ll be the go-to person on shift, maintaining retreat standards and overseeing customer satisfaction. You’ll be a visible, hands-on presence, effectively resolving any complaints and supporting all departments and Head of Departments daily. This role is perfect for someone with sound decision-making skills who can confidently lead a team.
What you’ll be doing as a Duty Manager in Basildon :
- Being an ambassador for our service culture, ensuring standards are respected.
- Maintaining retreat standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Being a visible, hands-on presence across the retreat.
- Effectively resolving guest complaints and supporting team queries.
- Assisting all departments and supporting HODs and the General Manager daily.
- Developing and managing operating procedures, policies, and service standards.
- Managing a high volume of calls and ensuring standards are maintained throughout the day.
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent understanding of the hospitality industry and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles, confidently resolving complaints.
- Ability and confidence to lead a team with sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and take appropriate decisions in the absence of senior management.
- Previous supervisor-level experience in a boutique hotel/ high end venue .
- Experience ensuring effective day-to-day running of an establishment.
- A passion for health and well-being, including nutrition, and a willingness to train.
- Flexible, hands-on, and a people person with a strong commitment to hospitality and quality.
