Job Title: Nursery Cook
Location: Based in Brighton and Hove
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shifts & Hours: 7am – 3:30pm (40 hours per week)
Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year (plus holiday pay 5.6 weeks pro rata)
Hourly Rate: £14.40 per hour

Our client, a nursery based in Brighton and Hove is looking for a confident cook to work in their kitchen. As the new nursery chef, you will be responsible for cooking meals for the busy lunch and responsible for the smooth running of the lunch service. Working days for this role are Monday – Friday and hours will be 7am to 3:30pm

What will you be doing?

As a Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious, healthy meals for the children. Your key duties will include:

• Preparing and cooking main meals, as well as preparing snacks for the children.
• Using fresh, seasonal ingredients to prepare meals for the nursery.
• Serving meals to children in a friendly, approachable manner.
• Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards.

• Experience working in a kitchen environment, ideally catering for large volumes.
• A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to high standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
