Our client is a well-established contemporary 40 bedroom hotel located on 18 acres and by the shores of Ullswater, near Penrith. The hotel has 3 food outlets, from their main restaurant that offers a 3 course seasonal menu influenced by flavours from the local area. They also have a casual dining area which is open for lunch and dinner and their Victorian Glasshouse that has a pizza kitchen and offers amazing cocktails by the shore. The hotel has a fantastic reputation both locally and from afar for offering relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful setting.

What’s involved?

As Head Chef you will oversee and manage all aspects of their kitchens across the hotel, events and parties. You must be a good kitchen manager, be able to create exciting dishes and menu planning. As Head Chef you will have sound knowledge of keeping to budgets and working to a good GP targets. They are looking for an experienced and professional chef with strong kitchen management and excellent people skills, who will work with the history of the building and the senior management team to present a locally sourced, traditional menu
